Members

PRFRP Membership is open to organisational and individual stakeholders such as: Non-Governmental Organisations, training institutes; Universities; private sector green and sustainable energy businesses; industry associations, utilities; government departments; multilateral and bi-lateral donors; international agencies and individuals.

Why Become a PRFRP Member;

Any person or body corporate who has an interest or understanding of resilience –related issues in the Pacific Region and who is keen to actively contribute to reducing its impact wherever possible, is eligible to be a Member of the Federation.

Being a member of Pacific Regional Federation for Resilience Professionals (PRFRP) will bring you and your organisation to work in close collaboration with a wide network of Resilience Professionals.

Membership – Categories and Process

The federation shall have the following types of membership:

Regular Member

Any person or body corporate who has an interest or understanding of resilience –related issues in the Pacific Region and who is keen to actively contribute to reducing its impact wherever possible, is eligible to be a Regular Member of the Federation.

Persons under 18 years will be required to show evidence of consent of parent or guardian, before they can be accepted as a member.

Regular membership includes the right to vote and hold office in the Federation, provided the members has paid his/her annual dues.

Applications for membership will be vetted by the Executive Committee or their nominee in order to ensure the integrity of the Federation is maintained. Membership shall not be transferable to others.

The Executive Committee shall keep and maintain a record of all members of the Federation. This information will not normally be disclosed without the information provider’s consent, or where required by law, or in the public interest. Any member of the Federation may voluntarily resign from the same or have his/her membership terminated by the Executive Committee of the Federation.

Associate Members

Any person or body corporate is eligible to join as Associate Member of the Federation. Persons under 18 years will be required to show evidence of consent of parent or guardian, before they can be accepted as a member. An Associate Member shall not have the privilege of voting and holding office in the Federation.

Patron

There will be a minimum of three patrons who will be elected by the Executive Committee, Patrons will champion the cause of the PRFRP. The position of patron is an honorary position and will therefore not be compensated. Patrons will have no voting rights and will serve as patrons for a period to be determined by the Executive Committee. Being a patron does not prevent the bearer of this position from holding any other office in the Federation. It is considered that since the position of patron does not confer any authority or privilege nor access to resources, there will be no conflict of interest with holding other offices in the Federation.
